Chesterfield Remembrance Sunday 2025
My Grandfather was a Japanese Prisoner of War, taken prisoner on 15 February 1942 in Singapore. I always try and make Remembrance Sunday to both show my respects and document the event as part of my ongoing Chesterfield Project. The Remembrance starts around 2.30pm with a service in Chesterfield Crooked Spire followed by march to the Town Hall for laying of wreaths, last post and two minutes silence.
